    A.  No.
     
    Q. Are dogs/cats required to be on a leash in Heritage Hill?
    A. There is a City Leash Ordinance which states your pets must be on a leash.
     
    Q. What can I do about a barking dog?
    A. It is best for you to talk with your neighbor about the barking dog.

    Q. Are there architectural guidelines?
    A. Yes, please refer to the documents in the Covenants Section.
     
    Q. Is there an application form to complete for architectural review and approval, and if so, who grants or denies the applications and how long does this process take?
    A. The application form for Architectural Review and Approval is located in the Construction Request Section. The completed application form and all necessary documents can be submitted to the Heritage Hill Community Association at PO Box 1642, Shepherdsville, KY 40165, or emailed directly to the ARC. Upon receipt of the documents, the decision to approve or deny the request for architectural changes will be rendered in approximately fifteen business days.
     
    Q. What work, changes or additions on my property constitutes the need for approval by the Heritage Hill Community Association?
    A. Any changes listed but not limited to the following constitutes the need for approval by the Heritage Hill Community Association: Arbors, Basketball Goals, Decks, Driveways, Fences, Flag Poles, Fountains, Garages, Gazebos, Patios, Playground Equipment, Ponds, Pools, Room Additions, Satellite Dishes, Sidewalks, Siding, Statues. There is a variance request form for current homeowners HERE.  Fill out this form and submit to the Heritage Hill Community Association at PO Box 1642, Shepherdsville, KY 40165 or email directly to the ARC via the CONTACT section.

    Q. If I have noticed what may be a violation, whom should I contact?
    A. Please email the Grounds POC in the CONTACT section.

    Q. What is the telephone number for emergency assistance?
    A. Dial 911 for emergency assistance.
     
    Q. What is the poison control telephone number?
    A. The Poison Control Center number is 502-589-8222.
     
    Q. Where are the nearest full-service hospitals and driving directions?
    A. Jewish Hospital Medical Center South is the closest full-service Hospital at 1903 W. Hebron Lane. Contact Jewish Hospital general information at 502-955-3000.

    Q. Is the HOA fee paid annually or quarterly?
    A. The HOA fee is billed and collected annually.
     
    Q. How much is the HOA fee and when is it due?
    A. Presently it is $250 for residents in the Greens and $500 for all other residents.  The HOA fee is due by January 1.  After January 31, a $50 late fee is applied.  After February 28, a lien is placed on the property.
     
    Q. Is the HOA fee mandatory?
    A. It is a mandatory fee used to fund services for the community.
     
    Q. If my house is on the market, should I pay the HOA fee?
    A. Yes, if the HOA fee is not paid by the due date, late fees and interest are applied. All accrued late fees and interest are liabilities of the seller.
     
    Q. When is the HOA fee statement mailed out?
    A. The HOA fee statements are mailed out in December.
     
    Q. Who should the payment be made out to and where do I send it?
    A. The payment should be made out to Heritage Hill Community Association and sent to Heritage Hill Community Association, PO Box 1642, Shepherdsville, KY 40165.
     
    Q. What does the HOA fee cover?
    A. This fee covers operating expenses, which includes maintenance of grounds, landscaping, lighting, street lights, insurance and internet services.
     
    Q. If we move, but still own the property, whom should we notify?
    A. You can send written notification to Heritage Hill Community Association, at PO Box 1642, Shepherdsville, KY 40165.  However, HOA dues are the responsibility of the home or lot owner.
     
    Q. What happens if I cannot pay the HOA Due on time?
    A. In the event you cannot pay the HOA fee on time, please contact the HHCA board treasurer (Contact link) to discuss this matter.
     
    Q. Is the use of the Heritage Hill golf course included in the HOA Due?
    A. No.  The Heritage Hill Golf Course is a public course, but membership is available. You can reach the Heritage Hill Golf Course at 502-531-0606 for information regarding membership application and club amenities.

    Q. Whom do I contact when I notice an irrigation head malfunctioning on one of the islands or medians?
    A. For problems with a malfunctioning irrigation head on the islands or medians, please contact the Gounds POC via the Contact page.

    Q. Whom do I contact when I notice a street light out?
    A. For replacing street lights contact the Grounds POC so the problem can be reported to Shepherdsville Gas & Electric (Salt River).
     
    Q. Whom do I contact when I notice a streetlight post leaning?
    A. For repair of street light posts contact the Grounds POC, so the problem can be reported to Shepherdsville Gas & Electric.

    Q. Are there restrictions regarding mailboxes?
    A. Yes, there are restrictions regarding the type of mailbox that can be installed throughout Heritage Hill.
     
    Q. Where do I purchase a mailbox?
    A. Eagle Sign and Design provides mailboxes for the HHCA.  Contact them at 888-561-0007.

    Q. Who maintains the vacant lots?
    A. The owner of the lot is responsible for maintaining their undeveloped lot.
     
    Q. Whom do I contact if members do not maintain their property?
    A. Please contact the Grounds POC and provide the address of the property.  You may also call the City of Shepherdsville Police at
    502-921-1000 or online at www.sheppolice.com and fill out a code enforcement complaint. 
     
    Q. Who is responsible for road maintenance?
    A. The city of Shepherdsville is responsible for road maintenance, such as potholes. Please inform the Grounds POC of road maintenance issues so the problem can be reported to the city of Shepherdsville.
     
    Q. My lot backs up to the golf course; who maintains the grass area?
    A. The Heritage Hill Country Club maintains this property. Please contact the Heritage Hill Country Club at 502-531-0606 to report the problem.

    Q. Whom do I contact when I notice a street sign hanging?
    A. Please contact the grounds POC.
     
    Q. Can I attach a notice of a lost pet on the street signpost?
    A. No. It is against the Covenents, Conditions & Restrictions to post any signage. Please contact Webmaster POC with regard to a lost or found pet and they can send an email bulletin to all members listed in their database.
     
    Q. Can I place a directional sign for “open house” at the corner of the street?
    A. Yes.  The sign may be placed between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. during the open house and then must be taken down.
     
    Q. What signs are allowed on the resident’s property?
    A. Sale signs or rental signs are the only signs allowed.  
     
    Q. Are contractors allowed to place a sign on property?
    A. No, contractors are not allowed

    Q. Whom do I contact when I notice potholes in the street?
    A. Please inform the Grounds POC of potholes so the problem can be reported to Metro Government. Or, you can submit a pothole repair request by going to this link.
     
    Q. Who is responsible for snow removal?
    A. The city of Shepherdsville assumed responsibility for snow and ice removal on October 30, 2014.
     
    Q. Are there restrictions for street parking?
    A. Yes.  There is a deed restriction which refers to street parking. Please see “Article II-Use Restrictions”, Section 2.3 (a-d) located in the Heritage Hill Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions found in the Residents Login Section of this website.

    Q. Do I pay for garbage collection?
    A. Yes, garbage pickup is the homeowner’s responsibility except for residents of the Links who have contracted services as part of their condo fees.
     
    Q. When should I bring in my trash carts and bins?
    A. Trash carts and bins should be brought in the same day of service. The association recommends that residents appoint someone to bring in the cart and/or bin when circumstances arise when the resident is not able to do this him or herself.
     
    Q. Where should trash carts and bins be stored?
    A. Trash carts and bins need to be stored out of your neighbors’ view in your garage. If carts and bins are kept clean and garbage is properly bagged, odors and bugs should not be a problem when storing them inside your garage.
     
    Q.  Who do I call to establish trash or recycle service?
    A.  Republic Services is the trash service for Heritage Hill.   https://www.republicservices.com

    Q. Is approval needed to plant trees on my property?
    A. No.  However, consider the impact on your neighbor's view of the golf course.
     
    Q. Who maintains the trees between the sidewalk and street in front of my property?
    A. This is the responsibility of the homeowner.
     
    Q. Who maintains the trees in the play/golf easement behind my property?
    A. The Heritage Hill Country Club maintains the play/golf easements.
     
    Q. Is there a requirement on the number of trees I must have?
    A. Yes.  Per the covenants, homeowners are required to have a minimum of two trees in the front lawn that are a minimum of 2 1/2 inches in diameter.  Additionally, homeowners are to have two other trees located elswewhere on the property (front, side, or back) with a minimum diameter of 1 1/2 inches.  All of these trees must be a minimum of 15 feet from the structure's foundation.  Contact the ARC or Grounds POC for any questions.
     
    Q. Is there a restriction on what type of trees can be planted?
    A. No.  There is not a restriction on type of tree species, but we do not recommend planting Ash trees because there is an Ash Borer infestation in the community.

    Q. Does the Heritage Hill Community Association have responsibility for maintaining the storm sewer drain inlets?
    A. No, we do not have responsibility for storm sewer drain maintenance. Please inform the Grounds POC of any storm drain maintenance so the problem can be reported to the city of Shepherdsville.
     
    Q. Whom do I contact for electric service?
    A. The Salt River Electric is the local utility company and they can be reached at 502-955-9732.
     
    Q. Whom do I contact for gas service?
    A. LG&E Provides gas service, they can be reached at 1 (800) 331-7370.
     
    Q. Whom do I contact for water service?
    A. The Louisville Water Company provides all of the water service for this area and they can be reached at (502) 583-6610.
